Data & Analytics
Get your business data organized, then get answers out of it
Most small businesses do not have a data problem so much as a scattered-information problem. The numbers exist, but they live in a point-of-sale system, a spreadsheet someone maintains by hand, an accounting package, and a few inboxes. Pulling a straight answer out of that takes hours, and by the time you have it, it is already out of date. We fix the plumbing first, then build the views that let you see your business at a glance.
What this covers
Data Engineering
Your sales, inventory, and customer information probably live in different places. We bring it all together into one reliable, up-to-date picture your business (and AI) can trust.
Data Analytics
See what's actually happening in your business: clear dashboards and reports that answer “what's selling, what's profitable, and what's coming.”
Bringing your information together
The first job is getting everything into one place that updates itself. We map out where your information actually lives today, including the parts that only exist in someone's head, and we connect those systems so that the same customer, product, or order means the same thing everywhere. Once that is in place, nobody is re-typing the same details into three systems, and nobody is arguing about whose spreadsheet is correct.
- One reliable, current picture of sales, inventory, costs, and customers
- Details entered once and shared everywhere, instead of re-keyed by hand
- Clear rules for what counts as a customer, an order, or a product, so your numbers agree
- Clean, organized information that AI tools can actually use later
Turning it into answers
Organized data is only useful if it tells you something. We build dashboards and reports around the questions you actually ask: what is selling, what is profitable, what is running low, and what is coming. The goal is that you open one page in the morning and know where you stand, rather than requesting a report and waiting two days for it.
- A live view of today's sales, costs, and cash
- Which products, services, and customers genuinely make you money, after costs
- Early warning when stock, margins, or demand move the wrong way
- Forecasts you can staff and order against
How we approach it
We start small and prove it works. Rather than a long project that delivers everything at the end, we pick the one question that costs you the most time today and answer it properly first. You see something working within the first couple of weeks, and we build out from there with your feedback. If part way through we find that what you need is simpler than expected, we will tell you and scope it down.
What you get
- A written map of where your information lives and how it connects
- Working connections between the systems you already use
- Dashboards and reports built around your questions, not a template
- Documentation and training so your team can maintain it
- Everything running on your own computers or in the cloud, your choice
FAQ
Questions about this work
Do we need to replace our current systems?
Usually not. Most of this work connects what you already have rather than replacing it. Replacing a system is expensive and disruptive, so we only suggest it when the current one is genuinely holding you back, and we will tell you exactly why.
How messy can our data be?
Messy is normal, and it is not a reason to wait. Duplicate customers, inconsistent product names, and half-finished spreadsheets are what we expect to find. Cleaning that up is part of the work, not something you need to sort out first.
Who can see our numbers?
Only the people you decide. Your data stays yours, we access only what the job needs, and none of it is used to train public AI models. Everything can run on your own hardware if you would rather it never left the building.
Not sure where to start?
That is what the assessment is for. A few conversations, then a written plan with the price on it, before you commit to anything.
